SP Primer is a premium white quartz primer designed to prepare interior surfaces before applying Liquid Wallpaper, Microcement, Mix Art and decorative coatings. Its specially developed formula contains fine white quartz sand, creating a slightly textured surface that significantly improves adhesion while reducing substrate absorbency.
The primer forms a strong bonding layer between the substrate and the decorative finish, helping to achieve a uniform appearance, better coverage and a long-lasting professional result.
Suitable for application on plaster, plasterboard, painted walls, concrete, cement-based surfaces and other stable interior substrates.

Coverage
2.5 kg: approximately 7.5–9 m²
5 kg: approximately 15–18 m²
Coverage depends on the porosity of the surface and the type of roller used. Short-pile rollers generally provide better coverage, while long-pile rollers hold more material, reducing coverage but allowing faster application.
For the best results, always apply two coats.
The first coat should be applied very thinly, working the primer well into the surface. Its purpose is to seal the substrate rather than fully cover it. Applying the first coat too heavily may cause uneven absorption on porous walls, leaving visible roller marks or overlaps after drying.
Once the first coat has completely dried, apply a full second coat to create a uniform white textured surface with maximum adhesion for the decorative finish.
For ceilings, especially in older UK properties, we recommend applying 2–3 coats. Additional coats create a stronger barrier that helps prevent yellow stains or discoloration caused by moisture migrating from older ceiling surfaces.
SP Primer is specifically designed for use with Liquid Wallpaper, Mix Art and Microcement systems, ensuring the best adhesion, durability and finish.
